From the moment you look at the menu, you’ll find yourself craving several dishes. The Pho, a Vietnamese noodle soup that’s a staple in many restaurants, is a must-try. The broth at Lúa is incredibly flavorful, thanks to the long simmering process that allows all the spices and herbs to infuse into the liquid. Each bowl is served with fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapenos, allowing you to customize the flavor to your liking.

Another favorite is the Bánh Xèo, a Vietnamese savory pancake filled with shrimp, pork, and vegetables, that’s crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside. This dish is served with lettuce and fresh herbs, which you wrap around the pancake before dipping it into a sweet and sour sauce. The combination of textures and flavors is truly something special.

The menu isn’t just about traditional dishes, though. Lúa - Vietnamese Restaurant & Bar offers some unique twists on classic recipes. For example, their take on Vietnamese spring rolls includes a delicious mixture of grilled meats and crunchy vegetables wrapped in a rice paper that’s light yet satisfying. The creativity in the kitchen doesn’t stop there-Lúa also offers a range of cocktails that complement the rich flavors of the food. Their bar features a selection of drinks infused with Vietnamese herbs and spices, giving you a refreshing take on the traditional cocktail experience.

Lúa’s commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients is evident in every dish they serve. The restaurant is known for sourcing locally when possible, and they prioritize organic produce, which enhances the overall taste and authenticity of the meals. Whether you’re enjoying a savory bowl of Pho or indulging in their signature Grilled Pork Bánh Mì, you’ll taste the difference that quality ingredients make.

  • Came here with a pretty big group and we were all blown away. The food was amazing and the coffee, even better. Some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had.

  • Really don’t know what to improve here…. The meats are awesome!!!! The crispy pork and the short ribs and lemongrass chicken is super well done! My kids loved the pho!

  • We stopped in yesterday for our first dining experience- and we were treated to such a fabulous meal ! We ate every last bite we could. The flavors were so delicious- food was fresh - and we will definitely be back for more !

  • We had a delicious, relaxing dinner last night before seeing a play at Portland Playhouse. We both had rice-noodle entrees, one with shrimp, the other with chicken. Both were delicious and fresh. I had a coconut-kumquat drink, my partner had a passionfruit juice. Both were tasty, refreshing, and interesting (in a good way). Ordering was a bit confusing, because the laminated menus did not exactly match the categories on the iPad kiosk, but we figured it out. The high-ceilinged open space is easy on the eyes.

  • Clean and open, this restaurant uses technology to its advantage. You can either order online or with a QR code. The menu has lots of variety with a primary focus on Vietnamese with a few Thai dishes.

  • We dropped by for phở today and our phở were so good. The beef was excellent but the broth was too greasy. Extra point for the authentic noodle (bánh phở). In terms of service, we expected a faster serving for pho in stead of waiting about 20 mins to get served. Another inconvenient thing is your have to get to the counter to serve the condiment yourself in tiny plastic cups. Overall, the food is good but you should expect it like a food court so you would be happy. There is only one staff taking order, making drinks, serving and cleaning so dont expect any communication

  • I absolutely loved it here. The food was incredible! A little wait, but sooooo worth it! All the hot food was sizzling hot! Must check this place out if you're around the area. Thank you!
